Football: data and methodology
- Source: Stats & snap counts: nflverse open data (snap counts sourced from Pro Football Reference via nflverse). This build: 2026 regular season, Weeks 1-6 (Week 7 is in progress and will be added once every game is final). Data fetched 2026-10-25T19:22:15+00:00 UTC.
- Who's tracked: Rounds 1–3 plus any later-round or undrafted rookie with 100+ snaps or a 25%+ snap-share game.
- Snap share: a player's offensive (or defensive) snaps ÷ his team's total for that game. Games a player missed while his team played count as 0%.
- Production: PPR fantasy points for offensive players. For defenders, RookieRadar defensive impact points = solo tackles + 0.5×assists + 1×TFL + 4×sacks + 1×QB hits + 5×INT + 1.5×passes defensed + 3×forced fumbles + 2×fumble recoveries + 6×defensive TDs. Offensive linemen are tracked by snaps only.
- Trend: latest game vs. the average of the previous (up to) three team games. Score = snap-share change in percentage points ÷ 10 + production change ÷ 5 (offense) or ÷ 4 (defense). ≥ +1.5 is "Up", ≤ −1.5 is "Down"; players who haven't topped 15% snap share are "Depth".
- Up and down lists: players listed as up must have played 20%+ of snaps in the latest game; players listed as down must have averaged 25%+ beforehand.
